Vintage Bespoke Henry Maxwell London Riding Boots w/Lasted Boot Trees US 9.“OUR HISTORY
Henry Maxwell was founded in 1750. We began as a famous spur-maker, thriving on the use of the horse for battle, ceremony, hunting, sport and personal transport. By the early 19th century we were prospering internationally, exhibiting at the 1851 Great Exhibition and we were awarded the first of our many Royal Warrants by King George IV. By the early 20th century we had grown dramatically, supplying boots, shoes and a wide range of riding and hunting accessories across the British Empire from shops in London and Paris.
Today, we still make our fully bespoke boots and shoes in our London workshop for clients across the world.”
************
Elegant bespoke hunting boots by legendary British bootmaker Henry Maxwell London in very good condition with beautifully crafted, lasted 3-part wooden trees made expressly for these boots. Exquisite patina! Because they are custom boots there is no marked size but the trees measure 10.5” in length which corresponds to a US Men’s 9. Shoe tree is approximately 3.5” wide.
Outer Sole measures 11 1/4” long, 4” wide
Boots themselves are 16.5” tall
Boots with trees inserted are 19” tall.
Right boot is missing top strap which could be easily fabricated.
Due to their age these boots should probably not be worn (though they certainly could be) but instead will make for a spectacular display item.
Please examine photos carefully before purchasing as returns are not accepted.
Shipping to US lower 48 only.
