Semi Micro Cell, maybe Agilent? Working condition unknown

I inherited a box of interesting things from a friend. This thing was so fascinating that I had to research what it was and what it did. Obviously I have no way to know if it still works, but I can say it looks to be in excellent physical condition; no scrapes, dents, stripped fitting, dented tubing, etc. It is about 3 1/2" tall; the base is 2" X 2 1/4".
From what little I have been able to find, it bears some physical similarities to Agilent devices, though I have no knowledge of the manufacturer. There is no brand name on it; the only writing is "Semi-micro cell. Maximum Pressure 40 bar. Made in Japan."
Of course there is no warranty of any kind. Based on the prices these sell for in working condition, you might look at this as a lottery bid with a huge upside potential. Or it would make a cool flux capacitor for your DeLorean model.
