    Description

Inline carbon water filter and antimicrobial filter, featuring patented Quantum Disinfection technology. Manufactured from the highest quality granulated coconut carbon and quantum disinfection media, this filter removes chlorine, bad taste, odors, pesticides, herbicides, THMs, VOCs, and virtually all organics. In addition, using patented Quantum Disinfection technology, the filter kills all bacteria, parasites, viruses, yeast, and mold on contact. Tested and certified by multiple state and federal agencies for use as a water disinfectant. The media uses no chemicals and is non leaching. Filter service life is 6000 gallons. The filter is 2" x 10" and comes standard with 3/8" push to connect ports. For a small up charge the filter can be converted to 1/4" push to connect ports. Simply push your tubing into the fitting and you have a tight seal. No tools required for installation. See more information below regarding the revolutionary Quantum Disinfection media.
Quantum Disinfection™ is a revolutionary technology that uses quantum mechanic principles of electron movement to create catalytic active surfaces. This is the first time such a technology has been used to disinfect water. No chemicals, no UV light. Quantum Disinfection is highly recommended for all RO drinking water systems, saltwater/reef aquarium RO Systems, and refrigerator icemaker water supply lines.
Greater than 6 Log Reduction (1,000,000 x decrease) in bacteria upon contact.
    Quantum Disinfection™ is a
    catalyst
    :
disinfects the water with its activated surfaces, no power, no chemicals, no maintenance.
    Quantum Disinfection™ is a
    new
    phenomenon
    :
attracts electrons from microorganisms causing their entire structure to collapse.
    Quantum Disinfection™ is a
    solid media
    :
easy to apply, easy to handle, always placed in packed beds.
    Quantum Disinfection™
    kills the microorganisms instantly
    :
there is no contact time required, there are no traces of microorganisms.
    How does Quantum Disinfection™ work?
QD is a catalyst with activated surfaces. The microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, protozoa, micro-algae, yeast, etc.) that get into a direct contact with these surfaces, instantly lose their electrons to the positive active sites causing their entire structure to collapse.
    Is QD a filter?
No. It is a disinfection media. Besides, just like UV, QD needs primary filtration (at least 5 micron) to work properly, otherwise the activated sites can be clogged.
Does QD media leach into the water?
No. Quantum Disinfection™ does not leach anything in the water, no ions, no chemicals. All of the bactericidal action happens because of a catalytic surface action.
    Is QD certified?
    Yes. QD media is:
    A NSF Certified
    Component
    to NSF/ANSI 42 for
    material requirements only
    (Certificate #: C0292640-01);
    Tested by IAPMO to NSF/ANSI 61 (Certificate #: 23033);
    Certified MOH – China (Certificate #: 2015KF2513).
    Has QD been tested by
    3
    rd
    party labs?
Yes. Quantum Disinfection™ technology has been rigorously tested and posted excellent results by:
    Environmental Protection Agency, US EPA
    Eurofins US; Eurofins France
    NC State University
    Proteus, France
Guangdong Detection Center of Microbiology, China
