1047A Agilent/HP Refractive index detector
This is a used refractive index detector made by HP, model HP1047A. The unit was tested with 85/15 H2O/CH3CN for elution if caffeine and it is working very nicely. The heater works and achieves a set point which is indicated by a flashing green heater light. The unit need at least 3-4 hour for equilibrium after it is turned on according to the manual.
The light intensity error light is on which according to the manual could be solved by flushing the unit. Light intensity is the relationship between two photodiodes. The gross zero adjustment buttons were pressed which activates a motor which moves a mirror inside.
