    Description

This blue and white tea cup shows on both sides the historic Barbara Fritchie's Home in Frederick, Maryland.  Fritchie is famous for waving the Union flag as the Confederate troops marched through Frederick, MD during the Civil War. The cup is 2-1/4" tall x 3-1/2" wide including handle.
The blue and white saucer I have with it may or may not have been the original saucer with this cup but it matches.  It has identification on the bottom, which the cup does not. The saucer is 4-5/8" in diameter. On back it is has the early Jonroth mark and reads "Old English Staffordshire Ware, Jonroth, England, Made in Staffordshire England, Alfred Meakin LTD".
Both are in excellent condition. The cup has a blue dot that appears to be from original painting, shown in last photo.
